Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Out of all the hostels i booked for Yunnan 9 days trip, this hostel in Dali was the one with lowest rate, so i booked it for curiosity to see how it would looks like. But it was much much more than i expected, the room and facilities (bath tub in shower room, huge wooden artistic bed), location in walking distance from attractions in ancient town of Dali. Staff was friendly and helpful despite need to go the nearby cafe to talk to them, as the reception in the hostel is most of time empty.

Negative: No breakfast option, there was teapot to make hot water but no tea leaves or instant coffee. But the most annoying part was i got room directly on entrance of 2nd floor and the patio outside seems to be popular with other guests, who then would sit and talk, when the talk was loud then it got into the room and if you happened to be taking a afternoon nap after arrival before exploring the ancient town, then you would be perhaps like me waking up from time to time. Choose maybe room inside the building to avoid this during check in when possible.

Summary: Good value stay in ancient town Dali with perfect facilities in the room !
