Summary: The location of the house is good for suburban stay. It’s about 20 minutes driving to most tourist attractions. However, the host and the house need improvements. Host forgot to send access code, resulting in us arriving in pouring rain to a locked house. We made numerous contacts through all channels, later Vrbo agents also tried with no response. It’s no fun spending three hours going through Vrbo help line getting emergency lodging for the night. The house has potentials. The showers are good, in-house washer and dryer are good features. However, the oven in the kitchen is making constant clicking noise. One bathroom has no locks. One bedroom has no door knob, instead, a long nail and piece of wood hang out as a pulling handle. Another bedroom’s door lever was installed backwards. Light switch in the lower level are exposed holes with no cover. All of these can be fixed probably in one afternoon with an able handyman. I will also recommend fixing the floor in the lower level. Now, the central area is half a step lower than everywhere else. You step off coming out of bathroom, step off bedroom area, step off family sofa area, etc. We have teens with us, they can all balance themselves quickly when tripped by the uneven floors. However, if you have small children or especially seniors, you must be very careful in the lower level. Kitchen sink needs a deep clean. There are other cosmetic things to improve the general appearance, such as matching towels, linens, etc.
