Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: While it was around the corner from a sketchy part of Hastings, the property was very secure and well maintained. The apartment was clean and well decorated. The neighborhood as a whole was fantastic. Just 1/2 block down is the start of coffee shops, vintage boutiques and great restaurants.

Negative: Although it advertised WiFi and we were given the link and passcode, it was not available the entire time we were there. For this reason the television was not usable. We tried multiple times to contact the landlord by email, text, and a phone call with no reply ever. The Murphy bed was a bit unstable, the shower handle fell off when you tried to adjust the temperature and there were no washcloths or hand towels provided.

Summary: We loved staying in Gastown and even though it was close to Hastings the people on the streets pretty much keep to thems
