Depuis quelques années, nous avons mis la main à la pâte pour rénover ce modeste chalet. C’est un projet indéfini, mais nous sommes heureux de le partager avec quelqu’un qui appréciera notre attention aux détails.
Niché entre quatre lacs dans les collines des Laurentides, le chalet est à une petite heure de Montréal. Il est également à quelques minutes de la ville pittoresque de Saint-Adolphe-D’Howard, offrant un accès facile à un kiosque de fruits et légumes, des épiceries, cafés, restaurants et une promenade au bord de l’eau. Une myriade d’aventures vous attend : sentiers en nature, location de vélos, de kayaks ou de stand-up-board. Un accès au lac avec jeux d’enfants se retrouve à cinq minutes à pied et une petite plage publique est à seulement 15 minutes.
Le chalet est situé dans un cul-de-sac, implanté sur un double terrain entouré de grands arbres. Les voisins sont visibles, mais moins présents que les oiseaux, les tamias et les lapins.
Le rez-de-chaussée est composé des espaces de vie, d’une salle de bains spacieuse et d’une cheminée centrale, autour de laquelle s’enroule un escalier amusant. À l’étage se trouve la chambre, adjacente à l’espace de travail équipé d’un lit futon.
La connexion internet est relativement fiable compte tenu de l’emplacement et est généralement assez rapide pour visionner votre émission préférée. L’eau est potable et la cuisine est équipée d’ustensiles, condiments et épices habituels.
Notre terrain se veut sauvage afin d’attirer les abeilles et les papillons. Nous avons également un foyer extérieur et un jardin – que nous ne nous attendons pas à ce que vous arrosiez – à moins que ça vous tente!

If you are looking to get away, in search of fresh air and the quiet sound of rustling leaves, this could be the perfect place for you.
For the past years we have been getting our hands dirty in renovating this modest cottage. The project is forever ongoing, but we are happy to share it with someone who will appreciate our attention to detail.
Nestled between four lakes in the rolling hills of the Laurentians, the cottage is a breezy hour from Montreal. It is also just a few minutes from the quaint town of Saint-Adolphe-D’Howard, offering easy access to a fruit and vegetable stand, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and waterfront promenades. A myriad of adventures await: hiking trails, bike, kayak or stand-up-board rentals. A little playground is a five-minutes’ walk from our cottage and public lake access is only 15 minutes around the corner.
The cottage is situated in a cul-de-sac, away from thru-traffic. It stands on a double-lot surrounded by large trees where neighbours are visible, but less present than the birds, chipmunks and rabbits.
The ground floor is comprised of the living spaces, a spacious bathroom, and a central fireplace, around which wraps a quirky blue staircase. Upstairs we have the bedroom, adjacent to the den that is equipped with a workstation and futon.
The internet is relatively reliable given the location and is usually speedy enough to watch your favourite show. The water is potable and the kitchen is equipped with all the usual cookware, condiments, and spices.
We let the yard run a little wild to attract the bees and butterflies. We also have a fire-pit and garden – which we will not expect you to water – unless you’re into that sort of thing!
