Metchosin is truly a magical rural location and this place was created especially to take in the incredible views of Mount Baker, Victoria and the US Olympic mountain range. When people visit they always gush over the view - even our neighbours do. On special occasions, we can see the fireworks from here! There is a lot of nature here, eagles, owls, numerous other small birds (especially hummingbirds), deer, bunnies, and the occasional bear!
Rolling hills, sheep farms, views of Mt. Baker and Victoria and the ocean, hiking/biking/walking trails right around the property and surrounding regions connect via the Galloping Goose trail network. You can book local fishing excursions at Pedder Bay and Sooke. Only 5 minutes away is Matheson Lake for swimming, hiking and canoeing. On the property is a fabulous raised bed organic garden to work in, contemplate the nature, or nibble on fresh herbs and veggies – or fire up the outdoor pizza oven or the bbq for roasting and grilling (in season).
